THE 2023 CLIMATE CHANGE GRANT

The foundation is hinged on the belief that all lives have equal value and that everyone deserves to live a healthy life. Achieving a climate-compatible economy will require individuals, corporations and governments to pursue growth-based structural reforms that encourage low-emission, strong investments and cost-effective laws and regulations.

Climate change has become an emergency issue in the world introducing so many threats to the existence of man. We believe that addressing this challenge is one way to create a healthy and safe environment while improving growth in all sectors.

The Stephen Akintayo Foundation is calling on innovative and transformational projects and proposals that aim at mitigating the effects of climate change on the world’s systems and daily living of mankind.

Our Specific Plan

We aim at supporting climate-change mitigation in different ways including:

  1. Investing in technologies that address the specific needs of small-scale businesses in the aforementioned sectors. Our goal is to support innovations which are geared towards climate-change mitigation by making sure that innovations produced, such as advanced batteries, hydrogen electrolyzers, direct air capture and storage, cooling pumps, etc are accessible to as many as need them.

  2. Investing in sectors to develop a more effective delivery system for climate change projects. This would be achieved by funding projects in the aforementioned sectors to develop and appropriate climate change development strategies that are realistic.

  3. Investing in developing innovative support mechanisms for small scale businesses that provide sustainable options for earning income. Here, our goal is to fund private sector initiatives especially small businesses in sub-Saharan Africa.
